Srividya, the yesteryear heroine, died in 2006, due to some health issues. Her apartment in Chennai has been listed for auction by the Income Tax Department to settle her income tax dues. Srividya’s apartment is in Abhiramapuram area, Chennai. The auction will be held on 26th March. The base rate is Rs. 1.14 crores. It is also heard that the Malayalam actor cum politician, “K B Ganesh Kumar,” is the executor of Srividya’s will. As per a report, Ganesh said that the immovable assets of the veteran actress would be sold to raise funds for giving a tribute to her. Ganesh had also said that the tax liabilities of Srividya would be settled first and then the bank liabilities. Srividya had liabilities with the bank on her residence. Before the auction, the liabilities will be settled, said a source. Later, as per the court’s decision, the income got from the auction will be shared with Gandhi Bhavan and Sneha Bhavan, the institutions for the mentally unstable.
