Jaya Prada, the yesteryear heroine was last seen in Tamil with “Dasavatharam” alongside Kamal Haasan. She is back with the bilingual film, “Keni” / “Kinar” with “R Parthiepan,” Anu Hasan, “Revathi” and Actress Rekha. Now, the actress has committed doing a lot of films in various languages. In Keni, the Tamil and Malayalam bilingual film, Jaya Prada plays the lead role. The film directed by MA Nisshad impressed the actress cum politician with its script. The film is about water scarcity and how it should be conserved. Jaya Prada plays Indira, a villager in Keni. While asking about the film, Jaya Prada says that after she became an MLA in Rampur, she had witnessed heavy drought conditions. These problems need to be voiced at the right time, feels Jaya Prada. She also says that people should not only watch the romantic films, but also the social message oriented films like Keni. The film projects the hard reality that the women face in their regular life and this should be delivered to the people, who in turn will raise their voice, says Jaya Prada.
