Fishers Withdrew The Protest! Went Back To Fish!

The Rameshwaram fishers, who protested for 11 days condemning the act of the Sri Lankan Navy that killed the young fisher, Bridjo, withdrew the protest and started to fish after the central government compromised them. It is announced that the external affairs ministers will meet the fishers’ representatives on 21st March. On 6th March, the Rameshwaram fishers were fishing in the maritime limit. They didn’t expect a sudden attack by the Sri Lankan Navy. In the firing, 21-year-old fisher, Bridjo died on the spot and couple of fishers were injured. Following the death of Bridjo, the protest started in Rameshwaram and Chennai. Following the meeting with Nirmala Seetharaman, the fishers cooled down and agreed to go for fishing. Will the central government do good to the fishers?
