The late CM Madam “Jayalalithaa” and the ex-CM late Kalaignar “Karunanidhi” had worked together in a movie. Do You Know? In 1966 "S S Rajendran" directed and featured in the film Mani Magudam. The film had CR Vijayakumari as the heroine and SS Rajendran as the hero. In this film, Madam Jayalalithaa played the second heroine. This film has the script of Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Sudarsanam composed the music and Sundara Babu cranked the camera for Mani Magudam. This is the only film that had the participation of Madam Jayalalithaa and Kalaignar Karunanidhi together. Madam Jayalalithaa was announced dead on September 5th, 2016 due to cardiac arrest and her rival in politics, Kalaignar Karunanidhi was announced dead due to multiple organ failure on 7th August 2018.
