George IPS is the Commissioner of Police in Chennai. The DMK has filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India to transfer George, as he is the ardent supporter of “
V K Sasikala
” and her team. RS Bharathi MP, the Organization Secretary of DMK, has filed this complaint. In his complaint, Bharathi said that the Election Commission had announced the by-poll in RK Nagar on 12th April. As per the poll schedule announced by the Election Commission of India, the nomination should commence on 16th March. He mentioned that George is publicly known for his biased and partisan attitude towards the ruling party. Bharathi also complained that as per the orders of George, the policemen and policewomen set fire to the auto rickshaws and huts, during the Jallikattu protest. George didn’t attend the phone call made by the then CM “
O Panneerselvam
,” who is the rival faction of Sasikala. This shows that he did not discharge his duties as a government servant, says Bharathi. If he is not transferred, he might favor the ruling party during the RK Nagar polls, says Bharathi.
