ADMK Party Name Should Not Be Used – ECI

The Election Commission of India announced that the ADMK’s traditional Twinleaf symbol is frozen. Both the faction can use the symbols that are available on the list released by the ECI. Although the decision by the ECI is an expected one, the parties and the cadres were highly expecting that the symbol will be allotted to them. It is to be noted that both “V K Sasikala” faction and “O Panneerselvam” faction should not use the party’s name as such. But, they could join the name of their parent party to their new party name. However, the ECI announced that it is a temporary ban and if both of the teams appeal within 17th April with necessary documents, the ECI will inquire again. Meanwhile, the ECI ordered that both the teams should announce their party name at 10 AM tomorrow, 23rd March 2017. What will be the party name of OPS?
