Now, the actor is gearing up for “IDI,” which he calls him a special film. Jayasurya says that in IDI, he had done a mass hero role and it is the first time he will be seen as a full-time action hero. This film has given him all the rights to do his role in a stylish and impressive manner, says Jayasurya. When he was asked if his National award has any connection in choosing his latest scripts, Jayasurya said, "Never! The awards have nothing to do with the films I choose. I look forward to something special in each of my roles. A lot of actors have a mass cop role to their credit but I haven't had one yet in my career. That's why when the film's director Sajid Yahiya came up with this script, I immediately signed the movie." He also says that the roles he has done in Pretham and IDI had educated him a different perception of acting.
