Irom Sharmila is well known for her sixteen years fasting. She gave up her fasting recently. She had been fasting to get back the special power to the military in Manipur. However, her fasting didn’t give her a good result. So, Irom Sharmila has decided to contest the elections. A lot of books were released on the life history of Sharmila. It is heard that a biopic will be made on Sharmila and she has nodded okay to it. Taapsee Pannu is said to have signed the project to play Sharmila. The latest buzz on the project is, Taapsee would stay with Irom Sharmila for a few days to grasp her mannerisms. The production team has started the pre - production work and the rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon. Meanwhile, Taapsee is expecting the release of “Pink,” in which she shared the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.
