, a farmer from Punjab. While farming, he was caught by the Pakistan army saying that he crossed the Pakistan border and had been working as a spy. He pleaded the Pakistan government that he was a poor farmer, who mistakenly crossed the border. His efforts went in vain. He spent 23 years in Pakistan jail and at last killed by the inmates of the prison. During his jail term, his sister Dalbir Kaur met him thrice. She protested for his release and made it as her life’s agenda.
