Randeep Opens Up On Savarkar And Politics

In a recent interview, Randeep has opened up on what motivated him to do this project, and why he is not scared of any kind of repercussion. Unfazed by the controversy around his film, Randeep also addressed the rumors of him joining politics. He said that politics is no child’s play, and if at all he will take it up, he will completely devote himself to it. He cannot be half-hearted in any discipline.

When asked about the controversy regarding ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar’, Randeep maintained that this film is more of a myth buster, rather than ‘lip service’. He even took a jibe at the critics, maintaining that the criticism for his attempt to show the journey of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, and would change, had he portrayed someone like Mahatma Gandhi, or even Jawaharlal Nehru for that matter.

‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar’ will mark the directorial debut of Randeep Hooda.
