Amit Sial Joins Ramayan As Sugriv

Amit Sial has joined Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan, but not the way you expected.

The actor will be portraying the role of Sugriv, the younger brother of Kishkindha ruler Vali in the magnum opus directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Sugriv was thrown out from the kingdom by Vali over a misunderstanding, and he sought help from Shri Ram for the same.

With this, the cast for the movie has only turned more impressive. While some names are still to be confirmed, most of the principal cast has been confirmed for the first part of the two-movie epic. Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Prabhu Shri Ram, while Ravie Dubey will be playing the role of his younger brother Lakshman. Sai Pallavi will be playing the role of Devi Sita, while Yash will be making his Hindi debut in the role of the demon king Raavan. Sunny Deol will be playing the role of Pavanputr Hanuman, and there are strong rumors that a spinoff movie will be entirely dedicated to his character.

Amit Sial was last seen in the investigative drama web series The Hunt, which was based on the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi in 1991 and the subsequent investigation launched by the CBI.
