The OTT release date for ‘Merry Christmas’ is out. The murder mystery, written and directed by Shriram Raghavan, will be out for streaming on Netflix by 8 March.

. However, multiple delays postponed the release of the film to January 2024, making the OTT series ‘Farzi his first Hindi project, and ‘Mumbaikar his first Hindi feature film. This film would also mark the return of Shriram Raghavan as a director after almost 6 years, his last project being the iconic ‘Andhadhun’ [also based on a French project titled ‘The Pianist’]

The film was eventually released on 12 January but despite rave reviews [including appreciation for the acting prowess of both Vijay and Katrina], the film failed to do well commercially. It only earned a worldwide collection of some 26 crores, compared to a budget of 60 crores.
