Huma Qureshi Joins Shefali Shah In Season 3 Of ‘Delhi Crime’

According to the recent reports, the groundwork for season 3 of ‘Delhi Crime’ has begun. Known for its realistic take on police investgations, including how Delhi Police handled the Nirbhaya case, ‘Delhi Crime’ is one of the rare Indian shows to have won an Emmy Award for its content.

Not much is known about her role in this web series, except that she will play a key role. The previous two seasons were based on true events like the 2012 Nirbhaya case and the Kachha Baniyan gang. There are rumors that the third season will be based on a notorious sex trafficker from Delhi, though an official confirmation is yet to be made.  

This would be Huma Qureshi’s first OTT series outside the SonyLIV banner. She had made her OTT debut with Subhash Kapoor’s ‘ Maharani Maharani is a Tamil serial, an altered remake of t >> Read More... ’, which is based on the internal politics of Bihar. Huma played the role of Rani Bharti, who is loosely inspired by Rabri Devi, the illiterate housewife of Lalu Prasad Yadav who went on to become the CM of Bihar when he was in jail.

While the first season was not very impressive, the next two seasons became gradually popular amongst the audience.
