. The Goa State Commission for Women has asked the KTCL to remove the condom advertisement. The move by GSCW follows a petition filed by a women’s NGO Ranaragini to the commission. Talking to the news agency PTI GSWC chairman Vidya Tanavade said ‘A complaint has been filed by the Ranaragini.
Following the complaint riled, we have issued notices to KTCL as well as the district collectors. They have been directed to remove the advertisement from the buses and other pubic places. It is to be noted that Sunny Leone promotes the condoms in the advertisement. Also, Vidya Tanavade added that the deadline to remove the advertisement had not been specified. But, the move would be made as soon as possible, said Vidya. Ranaragini in a petition mentioned that they have demanded the removal of pictures of women in contraceptive advertisements.
