Deepali Junjappa
is a sensational author cum screenwriter, who has successfully written many fictional novels and a few scripts for some of Television’s best fictional dramas, the best examples being Hatim and Suvreen Guggal, which is the topper of the Year. Deepali took to writing quite recently and her debut book was The Twisted Twenties, which revolved around the problems faced by any twenty-something kid. The book, which released in 2014, was an instant hit among readers as it effectively struck a chord with all the youngsters out there. The good reviews for her writing style and her book encouraged her to work harder and dream bigger. In January this year, her second book titled The Bitchweed was released on all retail platforms. Unlike the first book, The Bitchweed is a criminal thriller, where the protagonist is a girl named Alice, who is on a mission to find her sister Lily. Meanwhile, readers also get to see the poetic side of Deepali in the form of short, mysterious poems that give you the chills.
According to sources, the author who uses her other name Dipu Darko on her books is busy working on her third book called Alamanda. When asked to reveal a little more about the story, she said that it would be about four teenagers belonging to the city of Shillong.
