On Tuesday, a petition to ban Indian movie screenings In Pakistan was filed in Lahore High Court. The petition was signed by local filmmakers and producers of the country. It challenged the exhibition of Indian films in Pakistani theatres.
It mentioned that screening the flicks from India is actually against the Motion Picture Ordinance Law of 1979.
It was encouraging lawlessness in people giving them the liberty to further violate other rules. It was also disregarding the import policy (2013), said petitioners.
They also urged the organization in charge to execute the ban quickly.
