Azhar Released Amidst High Expectations!

“Azhar” released today amidst high expectations. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Nargis Fakhri, Prachi Desai, Lara Dutta, Kunal Roy Kapur and Gautam Gulati. Tony D’Souza directed this movie based on the life of former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. The film starts with a disclaimer saying that it is not a biopic of Azharuddin. Emraan Hashmi plays the hero Azhar. The makers are keen in selecting the actors that they should not resemble the real life characters. The movie shows how the contemporary cricketers supported him and dethroned Azhar. The film also deals with his personal life, including his arranged marriage and his extra-marital affair with actress Sangeeta Bijlani. Although Emraan, who plays Azhar, has no resemblance to him, his mannerisms and dressing style reminds us of Azhar. Azhar has won the hearts of the audiences and the critics.
