IOS 18: Apple’s Biggest Software Update

In previous iOS versions, Apple did not give users enough freedom to move the icons around. Luckily, an insider has divulged that the tech giant plans to change this with the upcoming iOS 18, giving users more freedom to arrange their home screens. iOS 18 will be Apple’s biggest software update since the first iPhone. It is also anticipated that this upcoming iOS update will introduce major AI features.

Last November, it was reported that Apple took a one-week pause on developing this latest update to fix bugs. This happened after completing iOS 18’s “first milestone” build. Normally, Apple would start working immediately on the second milestone, but ironing out early problems and bugs took them one week. Nevertheless, the delay did not have a significant impact on iOS 18 with regards to new features and release dates. The tech giant took an early pause to ensure the iOS 18’s stability.

Other changes rumored for this latest update include improved messaging between Android and iPhone devices, new generative AI functionality, home screen customization, and more.

Apple will most likely announce iOS 18 at the upcoming WWDC 2024, which will take place during the first or second week of June. It will then be released for beta testing and the public beta in July 2024. The iOS 18 will then be released to the public by September.
