Last November, IKEA announced their reasonably priced intelligent sensors. Now, they have updated their Home Smart app, which means you can add the latest Badring Water Leakage Sensor to the app.
At the beginning of January, the ‘Parasoll Door and Window Sensor’ and ‘Vallhorn Wireless Motion Sensor’ were available for purchase. Indeed, this latest addition to their Home Smart app is truly on its way.
The Badring Water Leak sensor is a small rectangular device which creates an audible alert when a leak is detected and will notify you through the IKEA Home Smart app. You can then monitor your bathroom or utility room for possible leaks, even if you’re away from home.
The latest update from IKEA confirms users will be notified if a leak is detected, which could initiate additional alerts to other IKEA Smart Home devices. Users can connect Badring to Dirigera hub, but IKEA confirms that even without the hub, you can still use the sensor since it will emit its own alarm. This hub also allows you to connect your smart home gadgets to Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit systems, which will enable you to control them through voice commands.
