Often audiences are swayed by a movie's first impressions and have high expectations for it. Sometimes, however, the films disappoint the audience because they are only passable. Despite prominent stars, huge budgets, beautiful settings, and excellent marketing, movies' box office earnings are insufficient. While several films have joined the "100 crore club" thanks to their cast, script, and directing brilliance as seen on the big screen, other movies fall flat with moviegoers and end up not even making back their actual production costs. 7. Bhuj: The Pride Of India (2021)

Audiences generally expect a great experience while watching a war movie, from top-notch writing, direction, acting, and VFX shots. Bhuj was an utter disappointment in every mentioned aspect.

The audience was let down by the premise and screenplay. The portrayal of the characters lacked depth and passion, making the film an unanticipated letdown.

Made on a budget of Rs 69 crores, it collected less than Rs 60 crores and was declared a flop at the box office. Audiences expected a much better film from the director of the groundbreaking Queen.
