Sohail Haider is a Pakistani Singer-Lyricist from Karachi. Haider sang in several genres, including Sufi rock, and had his latest hit with Saiyaan Peer Qalandars. Sohail Haider did his primary education at Ali-Ali School, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, followed by Bright Star School. He finished his matriculation, then did his Intermediate from Islamia Commerce College and did Masters from KUBS. Sohail developed an interest in music from his mother. His mother was passionate about music and used to have a cassette player on which she celebrated music. She also had an incredible voice, but she never got an opportunity to sing.

Pursuing the fascination inherited from his mother, he soon joined the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, where he started learning music. As he used to listen to songs/ghazals with his mother, he, fortunately, memorized every Ghazal, not only the lyrics but the music and how to deliver the song. Luckily when he was practicing at Arts Council, he met the Mehdi Hasan in the academy and sang his Ghazal in front of him. Some representatives of PTV who were there heard Sohail singing were impressed. Ustad Niyaz Ahmed asked Sohail to sing with Benjamin Sisters on the occasion of 14th August. Singing with Benjamin Sisters was a dream come true for any singer. His songs with Benjamin Sisters, won the award for him.

Meanwhile, his mother gifted him a Harmonium, imported specially from India. It was an antique piece. Using that harmonium, Sohail started to practice but did not seek any assistance from any teacher. After that, he appeared on the PTV program Ghazal Siraye. Sohail was lucky enough to be a student of Ustad Niyaz Ahmed but for three months. After his intermediate, he also established his Band named Evolution in 2003 and did some concerts nationally and internationally but had to leave the band because Sohail's Genre was of pure Ghazal and classic in contrast, the Band used to sing Pop and Rock. As he wasn't sure about this, he quit.

He also started writing and composing songs. He then joined multiple music legends and worked with them. Despite his musical interest, his elder brother insisted Sohail go abroad for further studies. During his back-to-back visits to consultants for the student visa, he got a call from Imran from the Fusion Band and asked him to stay and work for him. Imran also talked to his mother and convinced her to make him pursue music. Initially, Imran launched his first music video, "Piyar Hojaega" and Sohail wrote and composed music for him. He made all the commercials for Coca-Cola, Bonanza, and other brands. After 5-6 years, He left Imran, took all his rejected commercial songs, released them, and made his first and only album. He later got a chance for the biggest drama of Pakistan Television history, Dastaan, a multi-cast series.
