Bilal Sami is a versatile and talented director, producer, writer, and academic and media professional from the film and television industry. His birthdate is 23 May 1978. His birthplace is Pakistan. His father, Sami-ur-Rehman, was a policeman and international award-winning photographer and received the President Award for Pride in 2004. His mother is Mubushrah Sami, a specialist in watercolouring. Bilal studied at Cresent Model Higher Secondary School and Lahore Grammar School and graduated in Computer Science and Social Science from the Lahore Institute of Management Science.

Later. he earned a Master of Fine Arts in filmmaking from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. He used to write, direct, and produce short documentaries while studying at Ohio University.
