Zebunisa Bangash was born on 7 March 1982, in Kohart, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. She completed her graduation from Smith College, US, and her post-graduation from Holyoke College, US. Zeb grew up in a musical family and learned about various musical styles at an early age. She is best known as the lead vocalist of the Pakistani music group Zeb and Haniya. The album was a commercial and critical success that helped to establish Zeb as a rising star in the Pakistani music scene. Zeb has released several albums and has collaborated with number of other artist.

Zeb is known for her unique vocal style, which incorporates elements of traditional Pakistani music as well as Western Pop and rock. She was praised for her ability to blend different musical genres and create a sound that is both contemporary and rooted in tradition. Zeb also sung several songs for Coke Studio.

She also performed a single in the second season of Pepsi Battle of the Bands. In 2019, she performed Roshe, a Kashmiri ode to loss, in Coke Studio 2. In addition to her music career, Zeb is an advocate for women’s rights and has spoken out on issues such as gender equality and domestic violence. She has been recognized for her activism and was named one of the BBC’s 100 Women in 2014. Zeb Bangash is the first Pakistani artist to serve as music director for an award-winning Bollywood film. She was awarded many awards, including the Lux Style Award for the best album (Chup) in 2009. She was also awarded the Pakistan Media Award for the Best Original Soundtrack in 2013.
