Telugu Supporting Actor Dheer Charan Srivastav

Dheer Charan Srivastav is an Indian actor, dialogue writer and comedian who works in Hyderabadi Deccani Urdu, Telugu and Hindi films. He was born on 9th August 1967 in Hyderabad. He is popular for his Hyderabadi accent and roles as Ismail Bhai in the films The Angrez in 2005, Hanif Bhai in Hyderabad Nawabs in 2006 and Nawab Sahab in Hungama In Dubai in 2007. Srivastav is the son of Pushpa Srivastav. He was brought up in the Himaytnagar locality of Hyderabad where he studied at Daffodils School where his mother taught Hindi. He did his intermediate from St. Anthony High School in Hyderabad in 1985. In 1995, he graduated from Osmania University in Hyderabad. He married Sangeeta Srivastav on 29th November 1999. He worked a Network Techno Marketing Manager in Hyderabad before joining the film industry. Srivastav received the Best Hyderabadi Deccani Urdu Comedian Award for his role in his 2005 debut The Angrez.

The Angrez was the first Hyderabadi Deccani Urdu film which resulted in the dialect becoming a separate genre in itself. Srivastav made his Tollywood debut with the film Sonthavooru on 21st March 2009. His other movies are Manorama, Golimar, Himmatwala, Paisa, Anaamika Gangs of Hyderabad and many others. His latest film releases were Sardar Gabbar Singh on 8th April 2016, Inki Toh Aisi Ki Taisi on 25th February 2016 and Tiger Sultan on 5th August 2016. On 21st November 2016, he posted a short political satire video on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation policy at Youtube under the account Ismail Bhai. Here he played the role of Ismail Bhai, a news anchor on Baigan News.

He was a speaker at the Ignite Hyderabad in June 2011. He was felicitated by the Telangana American Telugu Association in Fremont, California in September 2016. He judged and hosted the Mirchi Pakka Hyderabadi Contest sponsored by Radio Mirchi, Ola and Swiggy in Hyderabad in July 2016. He was invited by the 1st Annual Naubahar International Film Festival as a chief guest in 2016. His current projects are Shaadi Express, Salaam Zindagi and 127B: Mission Impossible.
