Baby Pasala is a singer who entered the Tollywood film industry a few years ago. She belongs to the village of Vadisaleru in Rangampetamandal of East Godavari district. She doesn’t know how to read and write and she is in fact, an agriculture laborer. She had no such knowledge of music or any music background. All this was normal until one day her acquaintance, Veera Babu, uploaded a small clip of her singing that went viral on social media and changed her life overnight. She was 38 at that time.
She earlier used to sing on an occasional basis but when her singing clip went viral, she came into notice by a music director and singer Raghu Kunche, who in turn, gave Baby her first Tollywood break in the movie ‘Palasa 1978’. Baby is a devout Christian so she sang at weddings and small programs as it was her only exposure to music before this. The melody in her voice soothes everyone and also, made her a remarkable singer. She has worked with various renowned singers like Raghu Kunche, Uttarandhra Janapadam, Polaki Vijay, etc.
