Chandramukhi Muvvala is a Telugu singer. She is a transwoman, born in 1986. Male by birth, she has undergone sex change surgery. She is also a TV artist and trained Bharatanatyam dancer. Apart from acting she is active in poltics also, she fights for the rights of her community. In 2018, Telangana Assembly Election, she filled her nomination from Goshamahal constituency as a Bahujan Left Front (BLF) candidate, Hyderabad. She was the first transgender person to contest assembly elections from Telangana. She has been fighting against inequalities and ignorance towards transgender persons for several years. Some of her famous songs are Kannula Thimiru, Kallatho Tamiri, Akiyah Chamka, etc.
