He is known for the movie Rough which released in the year 2014. He is a native of Nagulavaram village, near Guntur district. He admits to being a movie buff right from his school days when he would bunk classes in school to go and watch movies in the theatre.

He was known as a cinema freak in his entire extended family, and nobody was surprised when he declared that he wanted to be part of the movie industry. Very clear about a future in films, he completed his college from Guntur, got a graduation degree and decided to take to filmmaking.

His parents were worried about his decision as they strongly felt that a career in cinema was an unstable and unpredictable career. To satisfy his mom and dad, M Subba Reddy went to Nanded, got his M.Sc and then shifted to the city of Hyderabad with a dream to pursue a career in the field of his choice.

He joined the film industry in the year 2003 and embarked on a long journey filled with struggle for many years in future. He was also part of many popular projects which include the movies Punnami Ratri Click to look into! >> Read More... , a Telugu horror romance and thriller movie directed by T G Vinayan and released in the year 2016, and Aadu Magaadra Bujji, a 2013 Telugu film which was a romantic action entertainer and directed by the debutant director Krisha Reddy Gangashasuu.

After around fourteen years of hard work and dedication, his debut as a director was with the film Rough which released in 2017. His movie received a good opening at the theatre, the best response he had seen in his entire career.

Rough produced by Abhilash Madhavaram and presented under Sridevi Entertainment banner, by M Sudarshan Rao. The movie had a star cast consisting of Rakul Preet Singh Rakul Preet Singh is a famous Indian model working >> Read More... , Aadi and Srihari play the lead roles.

Srihari, unfortunately, couldn't make it to the release of the film. The movie earned around fifteen crores at the box office. Being a small budget movie, with only about eight crores, it recovered its cost and was received an average response from the audience.
