J.L.Srinivas was born in Khammam, Andhra Pradesh. His father’s name is J.S.Ramaiah and his mother’s name is J.A. Kameshwari. He has completed his schooling at Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalayam and Mont Fort High School at Khammam. He completed his Intermediate at S.S.R.J. College at Khammam. He has completed his B.Com, L.L.B. and Journalism at Nanded Law College at Nanded. His wife’s name is Revathi. He has one son and one daughter named Santosh and Manasa. Srinivas’s mother tongue is Telugu and he knows Hindi and English as well. He stays in B.K. Guda, Hyderabad.

J.L.Srinivas is a Telugu film and TV actor. He has acted in around 40 films. He entered the film industry with the film Swatimuthyam in the year 1986. This film was directed by K.Vishwanath and produced by Yedida Nageshwara Rao. Kamal Hasaan and Radhika have acted in lead roles in this film. Srinivas has acted as Kamal Hasaan’s second son. He has acted in supporting roles in most of his films. Some of his prominent films include- Swathimuthyam, Stalin, Ashtalaksmi Vaibhavam, Tagore etc. He has also acted in some Tamil films like Kadal Oru kavyam, Kannai Kalangade. He bagged Nandi Award for his acting in TV serials and films.

J.L.Srinivas has acted in many TV serials like , Anveshita etc. Presently he is acting in the serial . This serial is being telecasted on MAA TV. He is playing the role of Balaramayya in this serial.

J.L.Srinivas is a good Kuchipudi Dancer too. He is a gold medalist in Kuchipudi dance. He started the Film, T.V. and Stage Magazine named Kalanilayam. His hobbies include watching movies and reading books.
