Balu Sandilyasa is a cinematographer, filmmaker, and a genius behind the camera, who has the capability to change ordinary scenes into a mesmerising story with his skills and experience. He hails from Hyderabad, Telangana, India, but he can speak several languages like Hindi, English and Telugu. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in fine arts (BFA), Photography, and Visual Communication from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. In 2015, he went to Film Preservation and Restoration School India Film Preservation and Restoration School India.
Later, he earned a post-graduation diploma in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from the Film and Television Institute of India. Initially, he worked as an assistant colorist at Gemini Color Lab. After some time, he worked as a freelance photographer for almost a year. From 2014 to 2015 he worked at CHITRALEKHA STUDIOS PVT LTD as a cinematographer and made Bommalollu documentary.
Subsequently, in 2017, he started working with Ashwamedh Motion Pictures and contributed to the featured film “Tendlya,” which won multiple awards. Subsequently, he collaborated with Suresh Productions Pvt. Ltd. and worked as a cinematographer in the feature film Mallesham (2019). One of his movies Balu Gaani Talkies is in production. Some of his other notable films include The Puppeteers (2016), 8 A.M.
