Sangita Nerurkar, was a famous Marathi singer. She is a granddaughter of one of the renowned actors of the Hindi Film Industry K.L Saigal. She has obtained formal training in Indian Classical Music under Pandit Gangadharbua Pimpalkhare from Pune. She has taken training from imminent Hindustani Vocalist Pandit Vijay Koparkar from Pune itself. Sangita was the former winner of International SaReGaMa in 1999 and also performed in several concerts in the USA. She has to practice in-depth music for her voice modulations. Sangita always tries to sing from her soul because music is like worship for her. Sometimes her voice cracked on high notes, but the after-effect was fantastic.

Sangita started her career in Pune in 2014. She has given tribute to Begum Akhtar Sahiba by singing some of her famous ghazals on her YouTube channel Chala Ho Pardesiya, Ulti ho Gayi Sab Tadabeera, Door Hai Manzil, Tabiyat In Dino, Aye Mohabbat Tere Anjam Pe and many more.

Behzad Lakhnavi, Ghalib, Momin, and Mir Taqi Mir are some more renowned poets Sangita covers and sang their poetries in her concerts. Sangita also attended the special ghazal and poetic program Nagmat-E-Akhtar organized by Swardhara Events held at Somaiya Bhavan above Kitamkhana Fort on May 21, 2016. Besides all her hard work and fabulous performance, Sangita sang one famous song Saar Kas Sam sum and one famous album Khairlanjichya Matyawar.
