Prahlad Bhagvanrao Shinde

Prahlad Bhagwanrao Shinde was a Marathi singer, born in 1933, in Pimpalgaon village, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. He died on June 23, 2004, in Kalyan. He was a great Singer and Tabla Player, well-known for singing devotional songs, Qawwalis, and Ambedkarite songs. Bhagvanrao Shinde was his father and Sonabai Shinde was his mother. He had two elder brothers, and he was the youngest child in his family. Due to extreme poverty, he joined his parents to do street singing and Kirtan. At a young age, he got a chance to sing a minor part in Ismail Azad’s Troupe of the song ‘Haider Ki Talvar’, at that time, he worked there as a table player. He sang a few Qawwalis and several folks, and devotional songs that made him famous in Maharashtra.

Sai Mauli in 1995, Tyagi Bheemraao in 1996, Paule Chalati Pandharichi Vaat in 1997, Vitthalachi Vaari in 1999, Topiwalyan Ishara Kela in 2000, and Chala Jaau Aalandila in 2001 are some of his famous songs.
