Yudhajit Basu is a director, scriptwriter, and editor. His birthplace is Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He has been interested in cinema since childhood. He studied Applied Electronics and Engineering for one year, but he left this course. Then, he studied Mass Communication and Videography at St. Xaviers. After graduation, along with Prithvijoy Ganguly, he made two films, Quiro and Khuji. These films were screened at various festivals globally. In 2017, Yudhajit joined direction department in the Film and Television Institute of India. Yudhajit Basu is famous for Borisha Dhora-Majha Shantir Bari (2020), Kalsubai (2021), and Nehemiah (2023). His one documentary film was nominated for an Oscars award, which was an excellent achievement for Yudhajit.
