Mithunchandra Chaudhari is an independent filmmaker and a visionary storyteller in Indian cinema. Apart from being a filmmaker, he is also an assistant professor and head of the audio and visual program at the Symbiosis Institute of Media And Communication, Pune, India. Mithunchandra Chaudhari was born in a small village of Maharashtra called Patkul. Later, he came to Pune for higher education and obtained his diploma in journalism from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Soon, Mithunchandra Chaudhari began working at the Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, as an assistant professor.
Mithunchandra Chaudhari is always passionate about his work and he was the winner of the national award for Best Educational Film for his film “Paywat: The Road Less Travelled,” in 2016. This is a short Marathi movie. Apart from that, this movie was nominated for the “Kolkata International Film Festival” and “Dharamshala International Film Festival.” Mithunchandra Chaudhari made a movie about labour when he came across some labour in 2018, and this film was a worldwide hit and gained lots of appreciation from both audiences and critics nationally and internationally. Moreover, Mithunchandra Chaudhari directed, produced and worked as a cinematographer for the short film Compulsory Hell-mate (2006). Along with that, he directed the short film “ Anonymous Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” (2020), which is based on a poem written by Mithunchandra Chaudhari. As an actor, he appeared in the movie Sairat (2016) and played the role of Lokhande Sir.
