Shree Gurunath Shree was born in Pune, Maharashtra, India, on February 2, 1993. He is also known as Gurunath Meher. He is a Bollywood music composer and director. Gurunath started playing the piano when he was six years old and studied Hindustani North classical and Gajhal music as a child. Pandit Shirsath taught music to Shree Gurunath Shree. Gurunath graduated in 2015 with a degree in Sound Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering from the D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology in Pune, which is connected to Pune University. He attended Guruvarya Rajaram Parshuram Sabins High School.
Along with studying codec engineering, he also studied the fundamentals of cine color grading and editing. Gurunath is famous for composing and being a part of the sound department team. He was the composer of the movies Phata: Bypass (2016), Khalnayika (2017), and Peter (2021). He was in the sound department team for Basht (2019). He was awarded Mirchi Music Awards in 2022.
