Datta Keshav, His real name is Keshav Kulkarni Datta and he was born in 1932 is a notable director in Maratha Cinema. He is known for his films like Bai Moti Bhagyachi (1968) and Kashyala Udyachi Baat (1983). Datta Keshav made movies that were of the Action, Comedy and Drama genres.
He began his career as an assistant to Dharmadhikari after which he moved to Filmistan where his first movie was Ati Shahana Tyacha in 1966, Later, he would go on to direct many more movies such as Yethe Shahane Rahtat, Mala Dev Betla and many more. In his movie Fatakadi (1980), There was a special appearance by Rekha, which is her only film in Marathi.
In 1991, he directed Yeda Ki Khula, a story that deals with the intricacies of marriage in society. In addition to his directorial roles, Datta Keshav has also made an appearance as an actor in movies such as Rishte Ke Deewar (1992) and Devata (1978). In 1982, for his movie Vishwas, he also wrote the lyrics and is credited as the lyricist for the movie.
