Lata Kare is an Indian actress featured in the 2020 Marathi biographical film Lata Bhagwan Kare. Lata Kare worked as a manual laborer in Maharashtra and was widely known for winning a 3km race in 2013. The heart-rending reason that compelled Lata to participate in this event at her senior age was to raise funds for her husband, Bhagwan Kare's medical treatment. This news spread like wildfire and caught the attention of Naveen Deshaboina, an Indian director. She then trained hard and successfully won the race. This noteworthy movie went on to win praise and brought the Kare couple recognition. The movie won the National Film Award for National Film Award - Special in 2020 and the Filmfare Marathi Award for Filmfare Marathi Awards - Best Debut Director in 2022. The movie features two songs, Neela Thujala and Jayache Kshitija, which were a hit.
