Akhil A Kumar is an Indian short film director and writer who works mainly in the Malayalam industry. He was born and brought up in Kerala, India. Akhil developed an interest in cinema at a very young age that pushed him to write own scripts and direct them too. He started by casting his close friends for most of the role in his stories. Akhil received positive feedback from the viewers for his works.
In 2020, he directed a short film titled Yander starring actors Deljo Dominic, Tom Jose, and Arunima Menon. In the same year, he worked as the creative director of the Video short titled Malaika. Akhil also worked in posters and publicity design teams of the feature film Ole Kanda Naal directed by Jefry.
Akhil runs a small Production house called Snap Focus Entertainments that focuses on providing services such as Editing and DI Lab, Movie Poster Designing, and Sound Designing.
Apart from writing and directing, Akhil is a good actor. He used to do a lot of tik tok videos and has appeared in cameo roles in some of his short films. Akhil is a big fan of actor Mohanlal and Tamil actor Vijay.Â
