Shino Cherian

Shino Cherian is a seasoned cinematographer and director in the Malayalam film and television industry. Shino holds a degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Easwari Engineering College. He has also done a Diploma in Cinematography and Film/Video production from Neo Film School. He began his career as an Assistant Director at Trichur Brothers, where he worked on national music video Namami Gange. Later, he joined Kuviyam Mediaworks as a cinematographer, followed by AGK Films as an associate cameraman.

He has been working on a documentary based on Western Ghats, which is titled as Patterns of Life – Prana. Some notable works by Shino Cherian as a Director are the short film Suzhal and advertisement of Josco Jewellers, Cherupuzha. He has also served as a cinematographer for Centre Fresh – Malayalam advertisement, corporate video of Syrp Genie, Tamil short film Ayani, a video documentary titled Candid, and many more such projects. Shino received the jury award for his silent short film Ssssh at Jai Hind Signature Short Film Festival. His movie Suzhal has also won the awards for best director and best scriptwriter.
