Born in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram, Mohan Roop was a screenwriter, director, and producer of Malayalam films and documentaries. He is the son of Nalinakshi and N. Madhavan Acharya. Mohanroop is married to Nirmala. He settled in Thrissur, 20 years prior to complications in his marriage. He additionally got converted to Christianity.
