Moidu Thazhathu

Moidu Thazhathu is a well-known director in Mollywood. He directed a film named ‘TP51’. The film faced many criticisms in screening across theatres of Kerala because of the hot subject. Moidu took up the life of a rebel leader T.P.Chandrasekharan. He was the leader of the Revolutionary Marxist party who was brutally hanged to death near Vadakara.

Director Moidu Thazhathu portrayed his life story in his film. But the film was screened only in four screens across Kerala. Those theatres were owned by Kerala State Film Corporation. In an interview, he said that he directed the film for the welfare of people. The production company of this film is Sooras Visual Media. The director is a well-known former member of DYFI. His native place is Kainatty in Vadakara. He also did a documentary film, ‘Kurumbran aadinte Thaalam’, for an election campaign of a CPM contestant in 2004. He was also the second producer of Patturumaal, a musical program that aired on a famous channel, Kairali. He quit the program after the death of his leader, T.P.Chandrasekharan.
