Nemom Pushparaj was born on 23 October 1961 in Thiruvananthapuram, India. He is a famous Film Director, Art Director, and Painter in the Malayalam Film Industry. Nemom has completed his schooling in his hometown and graduated from Sanskrit College, Trivandrum. He has completed a BFA in Painting from Fine Arts College, Kerala University. He has completed Art Direction for 80+ films like Mangamma, Santham, Kannaki, Paithrukam, Danny, Nariman, Thilakkam, Kadhanayakan, Rudraksham, Chanthupottu, and many more. He has also contributed to the industry as a director, and his debut movie was Gourisankaram in 2003.
He received the award for Best Debut Director for the year 2003. He has also directed the movies Banaras, Kukkiliyar, and Crossroad. Nemom has received many awards for Art Direction and as Director. Some of the awards that he has received are the Film Critics Award and Film Journalist Award for Paithrukam, Film Critics Award for Highway and Kannaki, Film Critics Award for Gourisankaram (Debut Filmmaker), Kerala Lalithakala Akademi State Award, Malayatoor Ramakrishnan Award, Asianet Award for Kannaki, and many more. He has also worked as an Art Editor at the State Institute of Encyclopaedic Publications, Government of Kerala, Trivandrum.
