Indian film director Akhil Marar, or Akhil Raj, is a talented person who works prominently in the Malayalam film and entertainment industry. He was born on September 7, 1988. His parents are Rajendran Pillai and Ammini. He spent a greater part of his childhood at Kottarakkara, a town in Kollam, Kerala, where he was born. He did his early education at CF High School, Kottayam, Kerala, and S. V. M. M. H. S. S., Vendar, Kerala. He is the holder of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Fatima Mata College, Kollam.
From being a medical representative to area manager to owner of the juice kiosk Alchemist to agriculturalist, the celebrity has taken up various roles before entering the entertainment industry. He made his debut as a director in the film industry through the film Perariyathavar (2015). He has also directed the movies Oru Thathvika Avalokanam (2021) and Omana. He is better known as the winner of the Malayalam reality show Bigg Boss Season 5, hosted by the veteran actor Mohan Lal. He got married to Rajalekshmi Anil on January 1, 2015. They have two daughters, Parkrithi and Prarthana.
