Vinod Illampilly is a Malayalam cinematographer and producer working in the Malayalam film industry since 2006. Vinod is a graduate of Kottayam CMS College. Vinod started his career in 1997 as an assistant to the famous cinematographer Venu. In 2006, Vinod debuted as a cinematographer for the Malayalam movie Red Salute. He worked on many hit films like Ohm Shanthi Oshana, Pullikkaran Starra, Romans, D Company, and Grandmaster.
Vinod also worked as a second unit cinematographer in Anurag Kashyap’s popular film series, Gangs of Wasseypur. He worked as a cinematographer for the Kerala State Development Film Cooperation’s (KSFDC) first production venture film, Divorce (2021). Apart from working in films, Vinod also worked in the advertising industry for over four years. He worked on creating advertisement campaigns for over 60+ brands, including Samsung, and Kalyan Silks.
