Antony Kochi

Antony Kochi is also known as K L Antony. He was born on December 1, 1948. His birthplace is Kochi, Kerala, India. Antony was a film actor, theatre artist, and stage artist. He had worked in the Malayalam film industry. He married Leena Kochi, who has acted in his several plays, including Iruttara, Kalapam, Therauvugeetham, Kuruthi, and Manushya Puthran. Antony and Leena have two daughters, Ambili and Nancy, and one son, Lasar Shine. Antony Kochi started his career with an amateur theatre. He propagates socialist ideas through this media. Afterward, he assembled a troupe in Kochi named Cochin Kala Kendram. His wife Leela also joined this troupe in 1979. Antony had also written some books.

However, they were not released by any publisher because Antony disagreed with their conditions. So, he turned into a publisher and published the book. He used the money earned by the sale of books to collect the fund for the activity of the theatre group. He had also promoted the books of newcomers like his own son. He has played roles in numerous movies, including Georgettean’s Pooram, Njandujalude Naattil Oridavela, Aakasha Mittayee, Guppy (2016), Maheshite Prathikaaram (2016), and Munthirivallukal Thalirkkumbol (2017). Antony died on December 21, 2018, at Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi. He died of cardiac arrest.
