Sandeep Maheshwari

Sandeep Maheshwari was born on September 28th, 1980, to a middle-class family owning an aluminum business in New Delhi. He was a quiet guy with low self-esteem and did not have many friends until he met his now wife, Neha, in the 11th standard. He began to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) from Kirori Mal College in New Delhi after the 12th. Still, he dropped out in his third year due to some personal issues, possibly his family’s collapsing business. Being the eldest son, he had to take on the responsibility of providing for his family.

At the young age of 19, Maheswari started to work as a model at age 19 after the glamour of the modeling industry began to hold a fascination for him. However, the glamour of the drive turned out to be just a false show as he discovered the continuous existence of exploitation in the profession. Disappointed, he quit at once and started assisting other aspiring models to succeed. He completed a two-week photography course and went on to form Mash Audio Visuals Pvt. Ltd. 

In 2003, Maheshwari set a global record by taking more than 10,000 photos in ten hours and forty-five minutes of 122 models. Inspired by this success, which came to him after years of hard work, he launched ImagesBazaar in 2006, which proceeded to secure the top spot in terms of Indian photographs in 2010 and became the ‘Largest Collection of Indian Images and Videos’ in the world. At the age of 29, he came to be recognized as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in India.

He has received several awards, like, Creative Entrepreneur of the Year 2013, One of India's Most Promising Entrepreneurs by ‘Business World’ magazine, Star Youth Achiever Award instituted by the Global Youth Marketing Forum, Young Creative Entrepreneur Award by the British Council, and Pioneer of Tomorrow Award by the ‘ET Now’ television channel. Maheshwari also has two YouTube channels called 'Sandeep Maheshwari' and 'Sandeep Maheshwari Spirituality'.
