Presently he was a screenwriter. He started his life as a banker. He worked in reserve bank of India. Before retirement in 1993 keen interest develop for content writing. In his free time, he used to love books and sometimes he also does writing work. After retirement, he focuses in the field of creative writing. He keep us himself busy in the creative written. Through the field of content writing, he becomes popular. He started writing short stories, poems, and a play that make him popular. He also worked for o TV serials.

For a Hindi serial called has rate he is a script writer. Through this he comes into the limelight, he was known by everyone. Viewers love the story of Haste. On TRP chart this serial became very famous and showed positive outcome with respect to time. His favorite Marathi play Aai Retire Hotey Bhakt Bare performed in this play. This is the most famous play of the shook patole.through the writing, he comes in the limelight. He was in controversy because of play is known Ek Chavat Sandhyakal. He worked for the Mahesh film zapatlele as a screenplay writer.

The Film was released two years go. He also worked in Marathi films. He also shows case his work in the field of TV serial and stage industry. He was a famous Marathi writer. He was nominated for Indian Tally Award for Best Comedy Writer/sitcom. Ashok Patole is no more among us .he died on 21 march 2017.he died in the morning, in Pune.

He does not want that his body be cremated. He wishes that his body organ must be donated to another person. As per his wish, all his organs are donated according to needs. His body was donated to the KEM Hospital. His health condition was not good from last few days. He died because of cardiac attack. He was a very kind hearted person.
