Abhilash Roy is an Indian writer, storyteller, and playwright. After graduating from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, he started his career as a Project manager at Reliance Industries in Jamnagar. After a 2-year stint, he gave in to his passion for crafted storytelling and joined The Viral Fever (popularly known as the TVF) in 2014. Roy, however, had to deal with his fair share of doubts during his starting days. His debut series, Bachelors, was launched in a staged manner. Bachelors is a show about young adults staying together and experiencing humorous situations as they encounter the world after graduating. It hit the right tone with the audience. It was a massive hit as it crossed over 25 million views and was later selected for another season. In 2017, Bachelors was listed as the best web-series of 2017 by Film Companion and Indian Express. Roy was also complimented for his satirical themes. After his work at TVF, Abhilash moved to work as a writer at Disney Star.
