Pooja Punjabi

Pooja, who is predominantly praised in the music industry for her intrepid free voice, is one of the great music artists in this generation. She has been in this music field for more than eight years; she has rendered her voice for very distant platforms from cartoon animation to theatrical films to radio, etc. Pooja was born on December 4, 1980, in Rajpura, Punjab, India, to a Sikh father, Mr. Inderpal Kainth, and Hindu mother, Mrs. Saroj Devi. She has two siblings, one sister named Maninder Kaur Kainth and one brother, named Manpreet Kainth.

Due to her keen interest towards singing, she studied B. A Vocal and instrumental, MA Music B.Ed in B.A and post-graduation education from Punjab University. Before diving into her singing career, she had taught in Patel Public School Rajpura, Punjab, for two straight years. Subsequently, singing was made for her, and she always felt connected to it. Her debut songs were the following; Jaan Ton Pyaari (Punjabi Song) (2006), Romantic Jatt (Punjabi Album)(2009), Panjaban (Punjabi Film)(2010). To kick-start her journey, she began doing duets and till now, she has sung more than 70+ Punjabi duet songs, in light of which she is famous by the name of “Queen of Duets.” Her biggest hits were Jhona Launa Chad Dena, Seeti, Ek Tere Karke, Haske Bulavan and Teri Yaad. Speaking more of her credits, Pooja is the main channel-voice for Discovery Kids channel, she has voiced Krish and Pinky in Roll no.21, Badrinath in Banbudh and Budbak, and Hunny in Fukreyboyzz. Due to her diligence and passion, she was the worthy recipient of UK Asian Music Awards (2016) for Best International Act, Best International Album (2017) for “Study Visa,” PTC Punjabi Film Award Best Duet music (2018) for “Pakka Canada Wale”, Haryana Gaurav Award (2018) for Honour.
