Shamata Anchan is a model and also an Indian TV actress. In 2012, she succeeded South beauty pageant and in this contest she represented Kerala. In 2012, Shamata Anchan became one of the finalists of contest Miss India beauty pageant. Currently, she is doing a lead role in a TV show “Everest” on star plus which is directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. Shamata belongs to Mangalore, India. She was completed her schooling from Lilavatibai Podar Senior Sec High School and has done her post graduation from Mithibai College, Mumbai in commerce stream. Also, Shamata joined Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai. Few years back she lost her father. When she won the title of Miss India South, after that she got ads for a shampoo brand that helped her lot to come in to view for lead role in TV show and the same was started on 3rd November 2014 on Star Plus. On TV serial Everest, Shamata Anchan is playing a role of Anjali, who is very sweet and simple small town girl with her aspirations and regular dreams. One day she came to know that her father doesn’t love her because she is a girl, and she will be not able to accomplish his dreams of winning Mt Everest. Anjali is pretty charming with this exposure and rather than cursing her luck or being disappoint, she made a decision of fulfilling her father’s dream and take the enormous challenge. She drives her beliefs and herself to acquire her father’s love for herself. The audience appreciated a lot her role in this show. She is single and has more interest in reading books and dancing.
