Reshma Jayesh Merchant is an Indian actress, director, and choreographer who is widely recognized for playing Manjula on Zee TV’s soap opera “Rajaa Betaa” (2019). She was born on 30th November 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to Balchandra Rajput and Geeta Rajput. She attended the Guru Nanak High School in Dadar before enrolling in the South Indians’ Welfare Society College for her graduation.
She had her break in Bollywood with the supporting role of Mrs. Mishraji in P. Som Shekhar’s comic horror “Muskurake Dekh Zara” (2010). The same year she also featured in Vijay Saatghare’s thriller “Kalshekar Aahet Ka?” However, both the movies failed to sell tickets at the box office and turned out to be flops.
Reshma started to gain ground when she appeared in the short film “And Gandhi Goes Missing” in 2011. The movie was screened at the Third Eye Asian Film Festival that year and Reshma received lauds for her performance.
The local newspapers helped spread her popularity further.
